    "Green living" has been getting more attention in the media as people decide
    they want to take steps to help the environment and live a healthier and
    sustainable lifestyle.
    Do you want to make changes in your life to be healthier at home and work?
    Do you have allergies that may be affected by your home?
    Do you want to learn steps that you can take to help the environment of your
    neighborhood and the planet as a whole?

    This series of workshops and interactive activities will provide a history and
    background on the green living movement as well as provide practical
    information and steps you can take to live more green.

    Workshop Topics:
    Week 1:  What is green living? Why it matters and background.  October 4th
    The many definitions of “green” and the history of the movement. Take the
    Green Living Self-Evaluation Test.
    Week 2: Steps for a Healthier Home, October 25th
    Learn to transform your home to have healthier indoor air quality and green
    elements: household cleaning, renovations, furnishings and other topics.
    Week 3: Green Building Overview, November 1st
    Learn about the elements of green building and examples around the country.
    Week 4: Creating a Healthier and Green Work Environment and Lifestyle,
    November 22nd
    Learn information and strategies to bring green principles to your workplace
    and to other aspects of your life.
    Week 5: How to Become a Local Environmentalist, December 6th
    Learn how to become involved in local environmental issues in your
    community.


    Workshop Facilitator: Vicki Oppenheim, M.S. in Urban Planning, AICP, has
    been interested in green living for over 15 years. She owned a green building
    company, worked as an urban planner in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and
